We start with assessment and questionnaires so we can build an accurate picture of starting points.
Then each block of 6 sessions is designed to meet your child’s unique needs, often focusing on numeracy, literacy, and always topics that spark their interest.

We use multi sensory often game based activities to hook your learner in and give them fun or meaningful connections to new learning.
Sessions might include games/ stories/ creative activities / sequencing/ recalling/ quizzes/assistive tech tools like online mind maps or voice to text software.

Sometimes a leaners next step isn't a leap forward. It's revisiting missing piece of understanding . Imagine a wall with a few bricks missing . It's going to be wobbly isn't it ? we find the bricks and put them in to create stronger walls. This often means revisiting and recapping, exploring the same idea through different senses but always finding ways to apply the learning too.

We check in at the end of every double block ( every term) to review progress, make new plans and confirm bookings.

Interactive and Fun
Using multi-sensory approaches ( fancy talk for messy, smelly, noisy and fun activities ) we help learners to embed their learning through systematically structured sessions which over time embed new learning, through retrieving and recalling and applying knowledge.
In Your Home
Learning in a familiar and comfortable environment can make all the difference for some children. We'll bring all the resources and fun. we just need a quiet space .A table and chairs plus space to work / play on the floor.
A Parent must be nearby at all times but ideally you'll be part of the fun too. Join in and learn with your child so

In Our Home
Our home provides a calm, welcoming environment as starting point to focus and fun. We'll work at a kitchen table, in a small study or in the garden.
A parent must stay during the tutor time - they can relax on one of our sofas with a cuppa - or join in the fun and learn along too!

Parents- please know we can work in your learner's school too if the school are amenable..
Our school tutor has an enhanced DBS ( on the update service) and current safeguarding level 1 training ( renewed at least annually) and so if a school agrees and can provide a quiet space we can visit your child in school.
(A quiet space would usually be somewhere like a entrance hall/school hall )
